Vincent Flanders' comments: OMG!! You may be right! Thank you for explaining the navigation to me. Of course, if someone has to explain the navigation, then it sucks.

It's possible that I'd have to give this site a "pass" because it may be an art site. On the other hand, there's no way to figure out what kind of site it is because there's not much text anywhere on the site.

God, I hope it's an art site or we may have found the worst site on the web.

Even art can failUpdate: I received the following e-mail on January 11, 2008:

"Snarg... your number 1 Mystery Meat Site is, in fact, an art site. There's some info about it here. There's actually some content on the site:

"Just thought you'd like to know. Keep up the good work. WebPagesThatSuck is one of my daily stops on the web. Seeing how people mess up is how I don't. :-)"

As I've stated, the #2 Biggest Mistake in Web Design 1995-2015 is: "A man from Mars can’t figure out what your web site is about in less than 4 seconds." I couldn't figure out what the site was about in 4 minutes.

That's a fail in my book.

Postscript: One of the problem with giving art sites a pass is the influence they exert on companies — even large companies. One of the best (worst) examples is an old Qualcomm web site. You'd think that a company like Qualcomm wouldn't fall victim to web design stupidity. Nope. Here's a video I made about their old site.
